Even certificates referring to prominent names, which can be obtained in this field, are not always meaningful, since there are no universal quality standards. • Systematic procedures which follow scientific standards

• Extensive networking with colleagues on similar or other areas, membership of subassociations like "Society for Intercultural Education, Research and Training": SIETAR or "Society for Applied Linguistics": GAL (German only)

• Knowledge of own capacities and co-operation with colleagues on larger projects

• Regular further education training courses

• Regular intervision and supervision
